9. Animal Silhouette
Animal silhouettes bring a bit of personality to a wall, and the options are nearly endless: a deer head, a horse, a whale, a fox, a bird in flight, or a set of antlers. Choose a silhouette with clear, solid shapes rather than fine details, since thin legs and delicate features are difficult to nail cleanly.
Print your silhouette at the desired size, tape it down, and nail around the perimeter. Wrap the interior in a single thread color, or use two tones to suggest light and shadow across the body. A dark board with white thread creates a striking graphic look; a natural wood board with rust or forest green thread feels warmer and more rustic.
Display idea: Group three small silhouettes of the same animal in different poses for a cohesive set. This works especially well in a child’s room or a cabin-themed space. Allow 1 to 2 hours depending on the complexity of the outline.
