5. Bleached Jute Rope Ribbed Pumpkin
Jute and sisal fibers lend coastal-boho flair to autumn arrangements. This design relies on thick rope loops to build a pumpkin entirely from scratch.
- Materials: Thick bleached jute or natural sisal rope (around 1/2-inch thick), wire wreath form or round foam core disc, hot glue gun, faux suede strip.
- How to Make It: Cut six to eight equal lengths of thick rope, roughly 10 inches long. Form each rope piece into an upright oval loop. Glue the bottom ends together onto a small cardboard or wood slice base, arranging them in a circle. Pull the top ends together at the center point and bind them with hot glue and wire to create a hollow ribbed pumpkin sphere. Finish by wrapping the joined top cords with a strip of soft camel-colored faux suede to fashion the stem.
