3. Raw Linen and Jute Fabric Pumpkins
Soft fabric accents soften sharp interior angles and add warmth to open shelving or wooden bowls. Raw, frayed linen provides a relaxed, effortless feel.
- Materials: Unbleached linen or textured cream cotton fabric, fiberfill stuffing, thick jute twine, dried cinnamon sticks or driftwood pieces for stems.
- How to Make It: Cut a fabric circle roughly 12 to 14 inches in diameter. Sew a loose running stitch around the outer edge by hand. Place a generous mound of fiberfill in the center, pull the thread tightly to cinch the fabric into a soft pouch, and knot it securely. Take a long piece of jute twine, wrap it around the cinched pouch vertically four to six times to form segmented lobes, and pull slightly to create dimension. Push a real cinnamon stick or a piece of weathered driftwood into the center opening for a natural stem.
