6. The Hanging Clipboard Command Center

A command center is one of those small luxuries that quietly changes the rhythm of a busy week. This hanging clipboard version uses a long wooden board as the base, with several clipboards mounted across the front to hold weekly schedules, to-do lists, important reminders, and that running grocery list that never quite gets transferred to the fridge.
For this build, you will need a solid wood backboard (around 24 by 36 inches), several small clipboards, wood screws, mounting hardware, and a finish. You can use traditional clipboards from the office supply store, or splurge on decorative metal clipboards for a more elevated look. Attach the clipboards to the backboard in a grid or staggered pattern, then mount the entire piece on the wall.
Time-wise, plan on two to three hours, and the difficulty is beginner-friendly. The beauty of this design is how easily you can swap out papers. As soon as a task is done, the list comes down and a fresh one goes up. For a more polished look, paint the backboard in a color that ties into your office accessories, like a soft navy or warm cream.
Customization here is almost endless. Add a small cork strip across the bottom for additional notes, tuck a tiny shelf above the clipboards for a small plant or a jar of paperclips, or paint each clipboard a different color for a playful, eclectic feel.
