5. The Brass and Glass Display U-Shape
If you have a collection of beautiful glassware or ceramics, use your U-shaped kitchen as a display piece. Replace standard closed-door cabinets with glass-fronted, brass-framed cabinetry on at least one wall of the “U.”
How to Make
Install glass-fronted cabinets with internal LED lighting on the side of the “U” that faces the rest of the room. Use brass framing for the glass doors and brass hardware throughout the kitchen. Keep the countertops and lower cabinets in a clean, neutral tone like soft dove grey. The effect is that of a high-end pantry that feels more like furniture than utility.
